New addition

Well we went and done it. We bought our first steer. We named him Tbone as that is what we hope to eventually get from him is prize tbones and other great meats also. He is a Brangus breed weighed in at 300 lbs when we brought him home. Our goal is to put another 900 lbs on him. Right now he is a little shy and misses his buddies but he has the three horses next to him for company.

Just trying it out.

Megan and I moved down on the farm in Roswell New Mexico in August. We went back to Montana in September and brought Megan's mother with us. I was inducted into the Montana USBC Youth Hall of Fame, for all my work with youth and promoting bowling. We also went up so Naomi could meet her first great grand child Eli Morgan Heil. We had a wonderful trip. Since being here we have been farming getting to make new friends. Dutchoven cooking with our new friends. We almost made it to the Cowboy Symposium Ruidoso NM as cooks on a Chuck Wagon for a national competition. Our new friend whom owns it had a heart attack and that canceled that. Our friend is doing fine now and recovering well. We hope to get another shot at it next year. Megan has been line dancing and doing pottery. I have been riding my horse, bowling, some golfing and dutch oven cooking. I went and helped a ranch gather cows and that was like being back on the ranch in Red Lodge. I had fun. All our transplanted animals are doing great Mac, Rosa, and Fred. Mac and I went to SD in October pheasent hunting and other than a little traffic violation in Nebraska I had a blast as always. I also went to a Cival War Ball in Colorado on my way home with my Brother in law and his family. It was a lot of fun.
